Respite Care

Caring for mature adults at home is rigorous work. Often, loved ones are the care givers. There are times, however, when they cannot be available whether it’s due to their own medical circumstances, professional obligations, or the need for a brief break.

During these absences, Clark offers short-term stays called respite care. Based on the availability of accommodations, respite care visits are offered on both campuses in private, furnished rooms with private baths. Adults who are 62-years of age and older receive all of the services and amenities of the Clark assisted living program including: medication supervision, assistance with activities of daily living, three daily meals and snacks, laundry services and housekeeping. The assisted living team includes nurses and aides, a wellness coordinator, recreational staff members and chaplains. Minimum respite care stays are one week.
